The ramen I create at Food Technique Berlin bring the craft and depth of a true Japanese ramen shop straight into your home. I develop every component from scratch: broths that simmer for hours, seafood dashi made with fresh mussels, and noodles with exactly the bite I want you to experience. Unlike the heavy tonkotsu ramen you’ll find in most German ramen shops, I specialize in lighter, clear broths (chintan style) that showcase precision, balance, and a more subtle, elegant depth of flavor.

My goal is to stay true to the original tastes of classic ramen — rich meat broths paired with the savory, ocean-forward notes of dashi — while also offering a plant-based alternative for those who prefer a vegetarian option. And because vegan ramen is still rare in Japan, I’ve developed my own version that stands on the same level as my meat-based styles — equally deep, balanced, and full of umami.

Pickup from my living room in the 2nd floor next to Zionskirche

Each Ramen Kit includes soup, noodles and toppings for one portion of Ramen - you just need to boil noodles for around one minute, heat up soup and put everything together (find detailed instructions here).

I ship my Ramen Kits nationwide every week (with delivery on Thursday or Fridays).

Every week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday you can also pick up your order at my kitchen in Friedrichshain or my apartment in Mitte, where I’ll drop the kits directly from my apartment in the 2nd floor.

Using only high quality ingredients - fresh mussels, Katsuobushi, Kombu, Niboshi, dried Shiitake mushrooms, morels, ceps and many more.

Food Technique Berlin operates with humility and care, often through pop-ups in Germany and abroad, collaborations, and limited events that allow for close connections with guests and fellow chefs. Over the years, Christopher has regularly hosted events with renowned Ramen chefs from Tokyo and collaborated with Michelin-starred chefs in Germany, including Restaurant Haebel in Hamburg and Stephan Hentschel of Cookies Cream in Berlin. Many of his Berlin pop-ups take place in the beautiful Chipperfield Kantine in the heart of Berlin-Mitte, a location highly regarded among architecture enthusiasts.
